BANFF WORKSHOP AND BALL 2012

 

RSCDS Calgary Branch will host a workshop and ball in Banff in 2012, coinciding

with the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II, the patron of the RSCDS.

 

The Venue:  Banff Centre for the Performing Arts

Located in Banff National Park, a 1 ½ drive west of Calgary, the Banff Centre is

just minutes from the Banff town site and offers spectacular views of the

Canadian Rocky Mountains. This venue includes accommodation, restaurant

and pub, wonderful sprung dance floors, and recreational facilities, including a

swimming pool and hot tub.  An award-winning chef will provide five star meals.

 

From Calgary International Airport there are several options to get to the Banff Centre:

 

-           Rent a car – All major rental companies are located at the airport.  Parking          

is free at the Banff Centre.

 

-           Shuttle bus service – This is available from the airport to Banff Centre with          

either Airporter or Brewster.  Reservations are recommended.

 

Note:  As you will be staying in a National Park, you will need to purchase a

3-day Park Pass as you enter the park.
